Jazz pianist and composer Tom Van Seters has been an active member of the Canadian music scene for over thirty years. He has performed in a wide variety of high profile settings and collaborated with some of Canada’s most renowned musicians. Six albums under his leadership all feature his unique compositions.

Tom is Associate Professor of Music at MacEwan University in Edmonton, Alberta. His academic credentials include a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Toronto and a Master of Music degree from McGill University.

 

Since relocating from Montreal/Toronto to Edmonton in 2011, Tom has appeared at many of Alberta’s most celebrated venues including the Winspear Centre, the Yardbird Suite, the Beatniq, the Blue Chair Cafe, and Cafe Blackbird. His compositions and arrangements have also been performed by local ensembles from small group to big band.
